A patient has group A streptococcal pharyngitis. What do you ask? What therapy do you recommend? Why use one antibiotic over another? Our app answers those questions. We are QuestionMed, a company focused on treating individual patients through use of a phone app. We do not want healthcare students to become a database. We want them to know how to use information by understanding before memorizing. By applying and knowing why, students can reason through a problem, rather than memorize an answer that won't fit all cases. Our product encourages healthcare students to ask questions in a systematic way to learn the basic thought process behind treating patients. We focus on the big picture rather than jumping straight to individual medications. We currently have 2 prototype apps (for 2 different disease states) for both iPhone and Androids.
