We are making an orthotic brace that will use an actuating material to give people the ability to push-off with their immobile foot; and we have the exclusive license to use this patented material in all orthotics. We also will attach two foot sensors to the bottom of your feet. Since patients with Foot Drop normally only have one weakened foot, we can copy the gait cycle of the good foot to the bad foot. This will give the user a seamless transition, and a more normal walk cycle. Our plan is to develop the ankle-foot orthotic, and then set up means for manufacturing and distribution. Ideally, we will disrupt the market. When we do that it would cost competitor companies half as much money and effort to just buy the rights to sell our product. Once we "sell out" we will re-open shop and develop another orthotic (using our patented material). Therefore, we envision that in 5-10 years we will become a Research and Development firm for innovative orthotic devices.
