Kompact

Kompact will be a free mobile application that people can use to condense any form of writing or text into a more concise and digestible size. It lets the user enter a preferred word count range with which the app summarizes the entire body of text to that particular range. The text can come from pictures of articles, word documents and also from URL’s that direct the user to documents or pieces of text hosted online. The app will have added features in addition to the existing text summarization functionality. When opened, Kompact has a constant live stream of summarized news from various sources on every major topic. The user can customize the live news feed to their particular interest in order to view their favorite content daily. The need for a product like this is clearly shown by the amount of media content we consume daily. There is a lot of written information in various forms in the world and there is no way one person can view even a fraction of the scattered information.
