Patients and providers come together to support, advocate, and generate data for mental and behavioral health. KnowUs acquires users by creating support and networking groups around mental health. It also brings experts and service providers to the site to lend their expertise and advice. Users will both support one another and advocate for one another in their schools, workplaces, and communities a la change.org. KnowUs then leverages the knowledge and experience of these users to partner with service providers and researchers in order to generate big data that is relevant for patients and providers alike. Patients and providers will engage in constant dialogue to identify the best metrics so providers can aggregate the data, create actionable knowledge, and better serve their client-base a la PatientsLikeMe.
