Gesso is an art commerce mobile app that allows artists to sell their paintings by taking a photo of the artwork and then choosing a category within Canvas or Sculpture art. They set a price they wish to sell the piece for (Gesso receives 10% commission per piece sold). Members of Gesso may follow an artist, comment on their paintings, "like" the painting, or share it on other social networks. Members may instant chat with the artist at any time to ask questions easily or request custom artwork. Besides this, each member will have their own profile page and settings. Artists will have a profile page showcasing their works of art in categories, as well as members having a shopping cart system to buy multiple pieces of art. Overall, this is a platform for artists to showcase & sell their art without the hefty commissions and restrictions of art galleries. It is also a platform for lovers of art to buy and share art from around the world in a much easier way.
