Just tap the activity for future use. Create groups to send the message out to. Within two taps, you can gauge the interest among friends for an activity. People included in the specified group are notified via push notification. If they are available, they can opt in to the the chat. But if they are not available, they are not bothered with any push notifications regarding details planning the activity.
